First wine tourism location in the heart of Haute-Provence

The Roman general Domitius (118 BC) paved the way to the Domaine des Bergeries de Haute-Provence.

When you come to the Domaine, you will notice 4 ancient bridges as well as the 2000-year old ‘calades’ – local stone-paved paths. But it is not the Romans who built our stone huts in the 18th century, but the local shepherds who followed the ancient tradition of ‘transhumance’, when they took their sheep up to a higher altitude for the summer and needed a place to rest.

The Domaine des Bergeries is home to the first wine tourism site in the county, based around two completely renovated sheepfolds, which will delight the most demanding travellers. Far from the madding crowds, you will enjoy this magical place, where our vines are interlaced with olive trees and Florentine cypresses.

We had a wonderful time with Eloise and Jean-Luc. They are extremely nice and very accommodating. We stayed with our two daughters and had a blast. The area has enough things to do and the house is spacious enough for a family with two young kids. Only praise!

A truly excellent experience. The location is isolated and beautiful, but you can drive to town in 15mins. There were so many sights to see within a short 30min drive we are planning to come back again. Eloise and Jean-Luc are very kind and gave us a lot of terrific information. We even had a tour and tasting of their winery (probably the best Rosé I have tasted). Our daughter loved the pool, the cats, the Big friendly dog, and the swing set! 10 out of 10!!

This is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the views and sample the wine. Jean-Luc and Eloise are excellent hosts. The property is perfect with stunning views over the vineyard and valley beyond. The surrounding area is great for sightseeing and the local food is good.

Eloïse and Jean Luc could not have been more thoughtful hosts. They were so helpful as we got checked in and settled - both were incredibly responsive and timely with communication. The home itself and the surrounding area are stunning and exactly as advertised. The outdoor space and views are amazing. The home is very well appointed and even has AC. Overall location and proximity to local towns is also great. Could not recommend this property more!

This is a beautiful place that we truly enjoyed during our stay. While off the beaten path, it is still in the heart of Provence and close to everything that the region has to offer. If you are looking for some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, I can't think of a better place than this property with a spectacular view in the heart of a lovely vineyard and olive grove.

This small, but perfectly appropriated apartment was just what is was represented to be. Private, clean, beautifully furnished with all our needs. So quiet too. Eloise was a perfect host and helped us with any of our questions and needs, always beautiful and happy! Gorgeous setting with spectacular views and very private. The pool, located just above the apartment, was lovely, immaculate, and the perfect temperature. We would absolutely recommend this place and hope to return again!

Our stay was really fantastic. The location and view are perfect, the house is beautifully furnished and you can see that someone with an eye for details renovated the place. Eloise and Jean-Luc were perfect hosts. We received a free winery tour and tasting as well as two free bottles of wine and some fresh goat cheese. Very very generous. This was also our first airbnb which was cleaner than a hotel. Wonderful stay and experience! I heartily recommend staying here.
